TERMINOLOGY

Apoplexy: stroke

Consumption: pulmonary tuberculosis, wasting sickness

Debility: the state of being weak or feeble; infirmity

Heart Dropsy: edema (swelling), often caused by kidney or heart disease

Mental Aberration: is a significant deviation from normal mental activity (could be caused by any number of internal or external influences)

Requiescat: a prayer for the repose of the soul of a dead person

Paris Green: Arsenic was used in the compound, Paris Green, which was used as a pigment in paints, wallpaper and fabrics. Throughout the 1800s, there were reports of people becoming ill from living in houses decorated with the poisonous wallpaper, or when used as a paint to protect wood from insect/weather rot.
