Dear Fergus Keyes,
This is a quick e-mail to welcome new members and to inform those who may not be aware that the Gallagher?s are now the current record holders of the biggest same name Gathering ? last name.
No longer is it keeping up with the Jones. The saying is now going to change to
?Keeping up with the Gallagher?s?
We had over 1500 register throughout the day but for the actual count we had 1488. The Jones had 1224. Photos of the events will be up on the website in the next week or two when things calm down.
On the Friday night at the Gala Ball Adrian Gallagher was appointed King of the Gallagher?s. The crown, made by Charlie Gallagher owner of Black Lion Crafts, will be held by Adrian until the next Gathering.
For those who were in attendance thank you. The week would not have been the success it was without you. If you could spare five minutes to fill in the attached questionnaire, it would be much appreciated. If you did not join us you missed a brilliant week but hopefully we will meet at the next Gathering, and if you would mind filling out the attached questionnaire with either details of your last trip to Ireland or what you would do. Get every member of your family to fill it out. The greater the response the more accurate the findings. Tourism Ireland will be analysing the questionnaires but your personal details will not be given just the responses to the questionnaires. E-mail the questionnaire back to me at postmaster@gallagherclan.org.
